Art In Motion Airbrush Art Contest

Theme

All entries must feature an original airbrush art design that incorporates all, part, or design elements related to motorcycle lifestyle and should feature your best style. The design should also include other design elements that would otherwise be suitable for painting on a motorcycle such as flames, skulls, figures, tribal elements, pin stripes, tattoos, etc. OPTIONALLY, the design can contain design elements from or be a stylized version of a 9-banded armadillo.

Eligibility

This contest is participants that are 16 years of age or older. All art work must be original.

How to Enter

If you are a local artist, the first 14 airbrush artists that come to our shop will be provided the aluminum to paint. If you are a non-local artist, you can paint either on a 24” x 32” sheet of aluminum that you provide, or you can paint on a motorcycle piece of your choice. Entries will be permanently mounted in the biker backyard, so will not be returned.

A participant must create a primarily two-dimensional, original artwork using the medium and size requirements set forth below that depicts the theme of this contest. 3-D fabrication on the piece can be included as well. A participant may enter by submitting one (1) entry directly to Art In Motion, LLC to be received at 1503 Ross Ave, Kissimmee, FL 34744 by July 31, 2010 (the “Deadline”). Judges

A panel of three (3) qualified judges will be appointed by Art In Motion LLC. Judges will be any combination of custom motorcycle builders, airbrush artists, fine artists, art gallery staff, or fabricators. There will also be peer-judged and people’s choice categories.

Judging Guidelines

The Judges shall select winners based on originality, content, quality (including clear coat), # days before the due-date that the artwork is delivered, appeal and adherence to these contest rules, theme and guidelines.

Medium

24 x 32” piece of sheet aluminum provided by Art In Motion LLC to the first 14 local participants. Automotive or motorcycle airbrush paint must be used and piece must be properly finished with clear coat, since all artwork will be displayed outside and will be subject to the Florida elements of wind, rain, etc. The armadillo theme is optional. 3-D fabrication is also permitted.

On the 24” x 32” sheet, the bottom two inches should be used to include the artists’ name, phone #, website, so that potential customers can contact you - this is your free “ad space” in the biker backyard. If you are painting on a motorcycle part, make sure customers can see your contact information without it interfering in the design. Allow a 1.5” border on all sides of the sheet that we can use to mount the piece (e.g. drill a hole). Motorcycle parts should include mounting ability (e.g. hole, wire, etc).

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded as described below. There will be both an adult, and an “under 18” first prize.

· 1^st Prize (adult): The top winner will be paid to paint part of a motorcycle in addition to the prizes awarded to the 2^nd – 8^th prize winners. Images of the Artwork will be displayed on the Art In Motion website at http://www.ArtInMotionLLC.com along with other portfolio artwork that the top prize winner wants to have displayed. This will be linked to the artists online portfolio. This work will be permanently mounted outside in the biker backyard at Art In Motion, LLC (The Destination @ Art InMotion) and the artist will be on our “call” list for airbrush art work.

· 1^st Prize (Under 18): $50 Gift Card. Images of the Artwork will be displayed on the Art In Motion website at http://www.ArtInMotionLLC.com along with other portfolio artwork that the top prize winner wants to have displayed. This will be linked to the artists online portfolio with parental consent. This work will be permanently mounted outside in the biker backyard at Art In Motion, LLC.

· 2^nd – 3^rd Prize: Images of the artwork will be displayed on the Art In Motion website at http://www.ArtInMotionLLC.com. This will be linked to the artists online portfolio. This work will be permanently mounted outside in the biker backyard at Art In Motion, LLC and the artists will be on our “call” list for airbrush art work.

· Remaining participants: Your work will be displayed in the biker backyard as an advertisement for your work.

· Art In Motion’s Choice: Special trophy designed & built by AIM fabricators

· People’s Choice: Trophy

· Peer Judged Choice: Trophy

All eligible participants who submit art work conforming to the theme and specifications to Art In Motion LLC by the Deadline will receive a contest t-shirt. At the artist’s choice, photo or sample portfolios of all participants will be displayed at all events that Art In Motion LLC hosts and will be available to Art In Motion customers in the store.

General

· The sponsor of this Contest is Art In Motion, LLC. 1503 Ross Ave, Kissimmee, FL 34744 (the“ART IN MOTION”).

· This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. This Contest is not open for entry where prohibited or restricted by law.

· The Contest shall be subject to these Official Contest Rules, and by consenting to a child’s entry, all parents and legal guardians agree to be bound by the terms and conditions herein.

· By consenting to a child’s entry, all parents and legal guardians represent and warrant that any material submitted is original, does not infringe upon the copyright or any other right or interest of any other person or organization, and that any rights to such material have not been granted previously to any other person or organization, nor does any third party have any interest in such materials. By consenting to a child’s entry, all parents and legal guardians (i) grant ART IN MOTION, its affiliated organizations, licensee, designees and assigns the absolute and exclusive right and permission to edit, modify, publish, exploit and use the content of and elements embodied in the entry and the entry itself in perpetuity in any and all media (whether now existing or hereafter devised) and in any manner without further approval or consideration; (ii) agree that ART IN MOTION, its affiliated organizations, licensee, designees and assigns shall have the right and permission to use the name, entry, and/or entry information of entrant in any manner or media now or hereafter known without further consideration except where prohibited by law.

· By consenting to a child’s entry, all parents and legal guardians of Art In Motion Motorcycle-Themed Airbrush Art Contest Winners agree that all right, title and interest in and to the art work shall be owned by ART IN MOTION, which shall have absolute and exclusive right and permission to edit, modify, publish, exploit and use the content of and elements embodied in the art work and the art work itself in perpetuity in any and all media (whether now existing or hereafter devised) and in any manner, for trade, advertising, promotional or any other purposes without further approval or consideration.

· No purchase necessary to enter or win this contest. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning

· The total approximate retail value of the prize to be awarded to each eligible entry is $16.00. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. No substitution, transfer or cash equivalent of a prize by a winner is permitted. All applicable federal, state, local or other taxes are the sole responsibility of winner.

· ART IN MOTION shall have the right to disqualify any entries it deems do not meet the criteria due to technical, legal or other problems, or which they deem to be inappropriate or otherwise not in good taste, as determined by ART IN MOTION in its sole discretion. Entries may not defame or invade the publicity or privacy rights of any person or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or proprietary rights. ART IN MOTION’s decisions are final and binding with respect to all matters relating to this Contest.

· ART IN MOTION shall not be liable to contest winners or any other person for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulations(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal) labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond ART IN MOTION’s sole control.

· If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned or does not allow the proper playing of the Contest and processing of entries per these rules, or if tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in ART IN MOTION’s sole opinion, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, ART IN MOTION reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action, and/or to terminate further entry in this Contest. If termination of this Contest occurs, notification will be posted on the Web site at www.ArtInMotionLLC.com
